Trelleborg exhibits medical component solutions at MD&M West
Trelleborg Healthcare & Medical exhibits advanced solutions for medical devices, and pharmaceutical and biotech applications, at MD&M West in Anaheim, California, 6-8th February, 2024, in booth 2209.
On display are products created using Trelleborg’s Vertically Integrated Solutions approach which offers customers business efficiency by consolidating their supply chains, reducing risk, and driving savings through bundled purchasing processes, consolidated audits, shipping and logistics.
Also featured are Trelleborg’s advanced capabilities in drug elution and solutions offered by Trelleborg’s Innovation Center. Finally, attendees can see examples of thermoplastic injection moulding, elastomer moulded and extruded tubing, hose, sheeting, multicomponent and micromoulding offerings.

Another highlight is Trelleborg’s drug elution and advanced pharmaceutical ingredient (API) capabilities for implantable drug delivery.
Zach Fletcher, business development manager, said: “We know that biodurable materials, like silicone, are uniquely capable of providing the greatest possible time extension for a therapy to be released with a single dose. However, many drug developers struggle to deliver therapies to a specific site within the body or need to overcome low bioavailability of their drugs. Implantable drug delivery addresses these challenges, and for patients it could mean less time in the doctor’s office and not having to remember to take their medication. Additionally, targeted delivery enables lower dosages to achieve the same therapeutic effect as higher dosages delivered using traditional methods. This greatly minimises, and potentially eliminates, negative side effects for the patient.”
Also highlighted are solutions offered by Trelleborg’s Innovation Center which reduce manufacturers’ time to market.
