Trelleborg hires general manager for biopharma Center of Excellence

Trelleborg Healthcare & Medical, a specialist in engineered polymer solutions for medical, biotech and pharmaceutical applications, hires Scott Ryan as general manager for its Northborough Biopharma Center of Excellence in Massachusetts.

Ryan will be responsible for operational strategy and oversight of all critical management functions. In addition, he will lead site operations including production, building repair, maintenance, security, and safety. 

Linda Muroski, business unit president Healthcare & Medical and Industrial Americas, says: "Scott will collaborate across business units, ensuring the balance of both cost efficiencies and service levels. He will play a critical role as our new general manager – planning, organising, and directing manufacturing functions. I am confident that under his leadership we will continue to grow the Northborough Biopharma Center of Excellence.”

Ryan has more than 35 years of progressive diagnostics, clinical manufacturing, quality, and process development leadership experience. Prior to Trelleborg, he served as senior director of a through-put plasmid manufacturing company and led operations of a genetics laboratory.

Ryan earned his Master of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences Management from UMass Lowell in Lowell, Massachusetts.
