Tessy Plastics announces its recent acquisitions with NuTec Tooling Systems and Custom Tool and Design (CTD). This news is reported at the same time that Tessy Plastics has achieved a place on the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) climate change A list.

Tessy Plastics is a global contract manufacturer headquartered in Skaneateles, New York, which specialises in injection moulding and custom automated assembly solutions.
Tessy Plastics has recently announced its strategic acquisitions of both NuTec Tooling Systems and CTD, who are both based in Pennsylvania.
NuTec Tooling Systems has had a partnership with Tessy Plastics for over 15 years. This recent acquisition hopes to result in increased capabilities to support customer needs through providing state of the art custom robotic automation and assembly solutions.
Tessy Plastics president, Roland Beck stated, “we look forward to partnering with NuTec as they have always done great work for us. Providing the highest quality to our customers is what matters the most to us. Having our own automation shop will allow for more efficient production, innovation, and detailed quality control. We are very excited to work with NuTec and look forward to upcoming projects.”
CTD is a full scale injection mould manufacturer which utilises more than 45 years of experience to design and build high-volume plastic injection moulds for consumer products and medical markets.
“CTD will allow Tessy to expand our expertise in tool manufacturing and supply highly technical injection moulds directly to our customers. We will be able improve our costs, shorten our lead-times, and enhance our production support to our customers”, said Tessy’s vice president of engineering, Stafford Frearson.
Through these acquisitions, Tessy Plastics is continually aiming to expand its competencies in an effort to provide its customers with admirable contract manufacturing solutions.
Following the recent acquisition news, Tessy Plastics has also been highlighted as a global leader on corporate climate action by environmental impact non-profit CDP, achieving a place on the CDP climate change A list.
CDP assesses companies on the comprehensiveness of their disclosure, their awareness and management of environmental risks and their demonstration of best practices associated with environmental leadership, such as setting ambitious and meaningful targets.
Tessy Plastics director of environmental health and safety, Cindy Bush, said, “we have been working toward achieving an ‘A’ rating for quite a while now. This is our first year to receive an ‘A’ rating.
