Health technology company Philips has announced the release of a portable patient monitoring system to be used during in-hospital transport and at the bedside.

The company announced the release of IntelliVue X3 in Europe, which provides continuous monitoring for critical patients during transport. The system has been developed to address the problem of incomplete data records that occur during patient transfers.
IntelliVue X3 integrates into Philips’ existing IntelliVue Patient Monitoring system and its data is integrated into mobile applications, the hospital network as well as medical devices and hospitals’ electronic medical record systems.

With the development of the IntelliVue X3, we’re aiming to ensure that data isn’t being lost during transitions and that we’re able to better equip clinicians with the information they need, when they need it.”
IntelliVue X3 also provides a scalable set of clinical measurements such as blood pressure, built in mainstream CO2, a choice between three SpO2 technologies, ECG/Arrhythmia.
