Amcor Flexibles picked up a silver award at the Flexible Packaging Association’s (FPA) Annual Achievement Awards held earlier this month in Scottsdale, Arizona. The awards recognise packaging and converting companies that demonstrate breakthrough technologies, printing techniques, package structures, environmental advantages and new end-uses.
“We are honoured to be recognized for the third consecutive year as a winner of either a gold or silver award in technical innovation,” said Tom Cochran, vice president and general manager - Americas & Medical Europe, Amcor Flexibles Europe & Americas. “We are committed to investing in the products, processes and services that meet our customers’ unique needs,” he added.
Amcor Flexibles received the award in the technical innovation’ category for StayClean, serving the pharmaceutical market.
“We work in partnership with our customers to respond to their needs with solutions that deliver the highest standards of product integrity and safety,” said Art Castro, vice president sales & marketing – Amcor Flexibles North America.
Amcor’s StayClean packaging material contains no components that might transfer to the product. This is especially important for pharmaceutical and medical products for patients susceptible to contaminants. It is also able to seal at rapid speeds.
