The move comes after news that UBM is combining its Medtec Europe Event with MT-Connect, which is moving to Nuremberg in 2019.
Now, Messe Stuttgart, which was the previous host of Medtec Europe, is positioning its new tradeshow as a major platform for medical technology.
Messe Stuttgart has signed partnerships with both the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and Swiss Medtech.
The VDMA will act as promotional supporter for T4M, sharing responsibility for the content and organisation of the tradeshow.
Speaking about the VDMA’s partnership with T4M, Niklas Kuczaty who is responsible for markets, events and member support, said: “Stuttgart has proven itself for industrial trade fairs, especially in the field of production technology. At T4M, everything is under a single roof. I'm sure that the medical technology sector, both on the national and international level, will benefit, in addition to the high service quality of Messe Stuttgart, from the long-term experience of trade fairs."
Swiss Medtech represents Europe’s second strongest market for medical technology and will act as a promotional partner for T4M. The organisation was founded in 2017 and has 560 member companies. Swiss Medtech will organise a joint stand at T4M to attract exhibitors from Switzerland to the show.
Jonas Frey, responsible for trade fair activities at Swiss Medtech, said: "A survey among our members has shown that Baden-Württemberg is clearly in front. In addition, Messe Stuttgart maintains a pleasant culture of cooperation and works on a very high service level, so we have decided to pool our expertise for the benefit of the medical technology sector."
Florian Niethammer, team manager for Industry at Messe Stuttgart, said: “The fact that we set great store by the personal exchange of opinions and ideas, and that trade fair topics traditionally develop in partnership with the respective sectors, is now paying off. We are already conducting promising discussions with multipliers from the medical technology sector."
