MedFit, the first European business convention dedicated to building partnerships and early-stage investment in medtech and diagnostics, has announced the final speakers presenting at the show.

The plenary session on day one will focus on the trends driving growth in medtech’s future. Panellists including Mirren Mandalia, senior director, new ventures & transactions medical device at Johnson & Johnson Innovation Centre in London, and Karen Taylor, director of Deloitte, will discuss what will be driving growth in the sector over the next decade, as well as the ways that medtech players can turn these challenges into opportunities for growth.
Other sessions on day one includes talks on how collaboration is key to advancing innovation within the medtech and diagnostics industries.
On the morning of day one, the ‘Understanding SMEs and Big Players Partnerships’ panel will delve into how start-ups could benefit from partnerships with large corporations. Speakers including Rogier Receveur, senior engineering manager at Medtronic, will discuss the different collaboration patterns and explore the following questions: What criteria should inform the decision? How will these impact the start-up’s development? How does that affect fundraising?
Day two will feature a plenary session on the challenges in medtech, where the panel will talk about how businesses need to focus on better health outcomes for patients or end users in order to remain competitive.
More so, other sessions will focus on a number of important topics, including how to access new markets and what methods start-ups should use to gain funding. More so, visitors can also attend talks on what impact GDPR and data protection will have on innovation within the medtech and diagnostics industries and how business models should adapt for digitisation.
