In Hall 8A at Compamed, Multivac is showing its portfolio for the automated and GMP-compliant packaging of sterile products and other medical items.
“Each of our packaging solutions is individually designed to the requirements of our customers and to the products to be packed”, said Valeska Haux, Senior Director of Corporate Marketing at Multivac.
GMP-compliance
The machinery group from Southern Germany is showing a GMP-compliant thermoforming packaging machine in the Multi-Vac Clean Design. This machine concept takes into consideration aspects such as process reliability, ease of cleaning and cleanroom compatibility. In the interests of reliable line clearance, the process area is strictly separated from the technical area. Transparent enclosures with large doors protect against environmental influences and, thanks to perfect overview of the process, they increase the security of the packaging procedure against any products being lost.
Flexible and rigid films
The R 085 thermoforming packaging machine, which is equipped with the P 20 stamp printer for applying product information, is aimed at entry-level companies or small batches, producing both vacuum and MAP packs (modified atmosphere packages). It uses a quick-change system with ‘slide-in’ technology for forming and sealing dies.
Tray sealing
The group is also displaying its traysealer T 260, a packaging system developed for the specific requirements of the medical and pharmaceutical industry. It supports GMP-compliant packaging requirements for packaging quality, process reliability and cleanroom compatibility, says the group. As a consistency feature, the T 260 is equipped with a specially designed sealing die.
