Husky Injection Molding Systems, an industrial technology provider to the plastics processing community, has been awarded a Process Innovation Supplier award from Becton Dickinson, a global medical technology company.
Johannes Strassner, Vice President of Husky’s Medical Business Unit, said: “Receiving this award is a great honor for us. We work diligently to ensure we meet the specific needs of our customers with innovative solutions that both mitigate business risk in their processes and products, and help to ensure product quality that meets the strictest legislation.”
Schöttli, a Husky Company, supports Becton Dickinson with fulfillment for its global supply programs of highly precise and reliable moulds for a variety of medical products, including high-speed, high-precision syringe component molds, and high-volume disposable insulin moulds.
“Becton Dickinson places a strong emphasis on advancing the world of health; we are fortunate to be able to partner with a company like this and contribute to such an important global initiative” added Strassner.
Together, Schöttli and Becton Dickinson pioneered the full hot runner mould process, and implemented high cavitation stack moulds, significantly reducing waste and long-term capital expense, while increasing productivity and use of floor space.
