The Association of British Healthcare Industries (ABHI) has announced its return to CMEF 2023 with seven of the UK's innovative health technology companies.
Back in person, and with travel restrictions lifted, the ABHI UK Pavilion will provide a platform for UK companies to showcase their pioneering health innovations to China’s healthcare sector.
Located in hall 6.2, the space will provide visibility for seven UK companies and will highlight how UK innovation is "transforming" the lives of patients and clinicians across the globe.
With the group of UK HealthTech innovators waving the flag for British innovation at this year’s show, their visit is an opportunity to forge stronger relationships within the Asia-Pacific region.
Michelle Michelucci, head of international events at ABHI, said: “The UK is home to a vibrant HealthTech sector which has experienced rapid growth in recent years. As the world's most populated country, there are significant opportunities for UK companies to meet China's increasing needs, particularly in the context of a post-COVID landscape, which has led to strong demand for proven HealthTech. As usual, we have an incredible line up of UK innovators joining us for this year’s show, and we are looking forward to supporting them in showcasing their technologies and exploring new opportunities for collaboration in the Asia-Pacific region.”

Held at the National Convention and Exhibition Centre (NECC) Shanghai, the China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) is considered the 'leading healthcare trade show in China'. It attracts over 111,000 visitors, 4,000 exhibitors from over 28 countries each year. Each year the show brings together international medical equipment brands to connect with globally licensed medical equipment distributors, resellers, manufacturers, doctors, regulators and government agencies.
The ABHI's participation in CMEF is part of its ongoing efforts to promote the UK HealthTech industry internationally. The organisation works closely with UK health technology companies to help them expand into international markets, providing support and resources to help companies succeed overseas.
CMEF 2023 is taking place from 14-17 May in Shanghai, China. Throughout the event, the ABHI UK Pavilion will be located in Hall 6.2.
