The Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) has announced three new sponsors for the sixth cohort of its flagship ABHI US Accelerator programme.
This will bring further knowledge to support this year’s participants, helping them to define their market entry strategy and grow their business in the competitive US healthcare landscape.
The three sponsors are:
DAC Beachcroft (DACB) – DACB is a strategic, commercial and regulatory legal advisor to the UK’s health and social care sector. The firm works at the forefront of medtech and digital health, advising organisations who are bringing technology and novel models of healthcare delivery to the wider healthcare sector. As a sponsor of the ABHI US Accelerator Programme, DACB will support cohort members, ensuring that, from a UK perspective, they are fully prepared and ready to do business in the US HealthTech market.
Healthcare Innovation Consortium (HIC) - HIC is a digital health and social care agency committed to advancing innovation in healthcare. As a Corporate Sponsor, HIC will be on hand to provide mentorship to UK companies. They will also be looking to connect with international companies to support them in exploring opportunities to deploy their innovations in the NHS, via the HIC International Accelerator Programme (IAP).
Wilson Sonsini - Wilson Sonsini is a legal and business consulting firm that specialises in working with technology and life science companies. As a sponsor of the ABHI US Accelerator Programme, Wilson Sonsini will provide legal expertise, mentorship, and access to its network of investors and entrepreneurs to help participants grow and succeed.

The ABHI US Accelerator Programme is a 12-month initiative designed to support UK HealthTech companies access the US healthcare market. The programme provides participants with mentorship and access to a network of industry experts to help them grow and succeed.
A leading group of companies from the world of health technology are taking part in this year’s cohort. Together they constitute a diverse mix of medical device, diagnostics and digital health businesses, several of which are long-standing members of the programme, along with a host of new entrants.
The 2023 programme will run from January 2023 – December 2023. Throughout the year, participants will have week-long trade missions across the US, providing them with opportunities to engage with key stakeholders for their individual company objectives and present proven UK HealthTech to new clients.
The first mission for the new class of ABHI US Accelerator companies will take place in Austin, San Antonio and El Paso from 26 February – 31 March, followed by visits to Tennessee, California, and Florida throughout the remainder of the year.
