Dario can turn smart devices into blood glucose meters
Dario combines an all-in-one, blood glucose meter, smart phone application (iOS & Android), website application and treatment tools.
The platform is able to access to both real-time and historical blood glucose data. It is also designed to spot patterns, recommend the right treatments and support behavior change efforts.
In addition to providing glucose levels, charts and personalised information, the system has integrated apps such as RunKeeper for fitness activities and FatSecret for better food intake management.
Presently, Health Canada recently granted permission for LabStyle Innovations to market and sell Dario in Canada. The Dario is also available in the UK.
LabStye has said they hope the FDA will allow the device for use in the US later this year.
