Until now, the color spectrum for coloring high-temperature polymers was limited. The reason for this was the use of inorganic colorants, as only these could withstand the high processing temperatures. However, customers from the application areas of power tools, the automotive industry or electrical and medical engineering were looking for color-intensive results. Thanks to the composition of new formulations from in-house research and development department, the masterbatcher has been able to create color-intensive yet heat-stable masterbatches. They are designed for use in a wide range of substrates. For example, for PPA, PPS or PEEK. According to the manufacturer, the colorants contained have a temperature stability of up to 350 °C.
"The scope for individual color designs has thus been expanded enormously. A number of color targets can now be achieved and elaborated", says Dirk Schöning, Sales Director at AF-COLOR.
