MediPurpose & IVDEC form partnership

by

MediPurpose, distributor and manufacturer of medical products, has formed a partnership with IVD Export Consultants, a UK-based medical device consultancy.

IVDEC will provide marketing and sales support for MediPurpose's expanding medical product portfolio in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia (EMEA), which currently includes BabyLance safety heelsticks and SurgiLance safety lancets.

According to MediPurpose founder and ceo Patrick Yi, the company sought the relationship for a number of reasons, the first of which was the recent retirement of MediPurpose group cfo and board director Stephen Yi, who headed the company's UK office, which oversaw sales and marketing activities in Europe. A second reason relates to the company's mission for maintaining close relationships with its customers.

"As a global company in the 21st century, we can - and frequently do - rely upon technology to provide the same high levels of service and support that we are known for in the United States and around the globe," said Yi.

"However, it's equally important to have 'local' support that intimately understands the unique needs and challenges relative to our international customers' home countries," said Yi.

"We are confident that IVDEC will both support that objective for our current customers and to help MediPurpose's medical products continue to expand in EMEA markets."

IVDEC senior consultant Ian Southam, who will be the company's primary liaison with MediPurpose, will be a project manager for MediPurpose's EMEA export business.

"IVDEC is delighted to be working with MediPurpose, whose product range, we believe, is perfectly positioned to satisfy increased demand for safety needlestick devices outside of the United States," said Southam. "With a blend of local market knowledge, international contacts and an understanding of best routes to market, IVDEC is well placed-with the support of MediPurpose, a manufacturer of high quality and reliable IVD products-to optimize the potential that exists within EMEA and beyond."
