Tripleflex is a new category of devices which impart lift and energy to paralysed limbs to help improve walking in patients with hip, knee and foot drop.
Foot drop is a condition in which the foot does not have proper muscle control to lift the foot from the ground when walking. Patients with foot drop are prone to tripping and falling and have a very difficult time walking even short distances.
When the entire lower limb is weak, the hip and knee also drop, and the struggle to walk is magnified.
TripleFlex puts energy into a patient's step by flexing the hip, knee and ankle joints to improve the biomechanics of walking.
