Medical device maker ranks as a 'top company' to work for
Medical device company Stryker is climbing the ranks of North America’s exceptional places to work.
The company was placed at number 19 on Fortune’s ranking of the “100 Best Companies to Work For”. Its placing marks the seventh time that Stryker has been chosen for the list. Last year the company was ranked at number 21.
Fortune’s annual ranking is now in its 20th year and places public and private US companies based on employee satisfaction and perks.
About its ranking Stryker said: “Stryker’s commitment to a great workplace culture has resulted in a company of men and women who are humble and hardworking, driven to excel and enjoy coming to work each day,” the company said. “Stryker recruits and employs people who like to succeed and are motivated by our mission.”
Stryker’s place in the list marks the top ranking in the manufacturing and production category. The company employs more than 13,000 people in the US and was given 95% or higher score by its employees in several categories. The ranking is based off factors such as workplace challenges, atmosphere, rewards, pride, communication and bosses.
