PolyOne displays solutions for disinfectant resistance at MD&M West

PolyOne Corporation is highlighting materials, colourants and resources for medical device housing and component applications at MD&M West

These polymer and colourant solutions are formulated to minimise environmental stress cracking and discolouration caused by frequent disinfection of medical device housings, according to PolyOne.

Cathy Dodd, vice president, marketing at PolyOne, said: “With the one of the broadest medically approved polymer portfolios available in the market, we are uniquely positioned to help our medical device customers navigate material options, enabling them to create durable, long-lasting and innovative products that stand up to the most aggressive disinfectants used today.”

At MD&M West PolyOne is exhibiting its Trilliant HC thermoplastics, Resilience HC rigid vinyls, Versaflex HC overmolded thermoplastic elastomers, Royalite fire-rated ABS polymer sheets and OnColor HC Plus colourants.

The company also said it will be at MD&M West to advise show attendees on their medical material selection and help them to discover the polymer formulation that meets their application needs.

PolyOne is exhibiting at MD&M West in Anaheim, California, in booth 848 from February 9 – 11.
