Medtec Ireland 2017 to showcase start-ups

Medtec Ireland 2017 calls on medical start-ups for ideas

Now in its 15th year, the Medtec Ireland trade show will be exploring recent advancements in medical devices.

A new addition, the Start-up Academy, will provide exhibitors with a dedicated forum to share their ideas, learn about opportunities for partnering and collaborating and how to forge relationships that will help them develop their businesses for years to come.

Lab-on-chip technologies for point-of-care diagnostics, medical implants, breakthrough medical technologies to regenerate human tissue and mobile applications will also feature at the trade show.

Discussions will focus on health economics and their increasing importance in evaluating medtech companies, the impact of industry consolidation on innovation, latest updates on the European Medical Device Regulations, and discussions on market access, funding and reimbursement.

“Medtec Ireland has a strategic focus on driving innovation and opportunity for the medical technology industry in Ireland, with our events creating a compelling, interactive environment in which ideas can be shared, explored, and enhanced,” said Anne Schumacher, brand director, Medtec.

“Medtec Ireland 2017 is a key event in the medical technology calendar and an unmissable opportunity for exhibitors and visitors to see and hear about the latest innovations, and explore opportunities to complement their business and drive it forward.”

Medtec Ireland 2017 will be taking place 4 - 5 October 2017 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Galway, Ireland.
