The Foundation was established in 2017 and fully owns the Arcondis Group with the purpose of creating shared value for all stakeholders involved in the company. Its main objectives include ensuring sustainable employment in the Arcondis Group as well as supporting social responsibility projects.

“Through the Foundation, we encourage Arcondis Group employees to get involved in pro bono projects, creating additional opportunities for knowledge transfer, and promoting innovation. The grant opportunity illustrates our commitment to sustainability, the development of the life sciences and healthcare sector and the supportive role that we’d like to play in creating growth opportunities for start-ups,” said Christian Baumgartner, founder and chairman of the Arcondis Group and the Arcondis Foundation.

The criteria for selection includes several key factors: alignment with the core values of Arcondis; a well-defined and impactful mission and vision aimed at tackling societal challenges; a detailed plan outlining how the grant funds will be utilised; evidence of the scalability of the solution to amplify its social impact and a comprehensive understanding of the start-up’s competitive positioning within the relevant market landscape.

These elements collectively ensure that selected applicants possess the vision, strategy, and potential to effect meaningful change and create lasting societal impact. Interested parties can submit their applications here.

The submission window will remain open until 15th May, providing sufficient time for aspiring entrepreneurs to submit their proposals. The announcement of the grant recipient will be made in September 2024, marking the next exciting chapter in supporting innovation and entrepreneurship on a global scale.

"Sustainability is a priority for the Arcondis Foundation and we look forward to engaging with start-ups to grow our commitment to ensuring environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and promoting economic prosperity for future generations," said Baumgartner.

“As a professional services company specialising in the life sciences and healthcare sector, we are excited about the prospects that this grant for start-ups represents. Giving back to the community adds a valuable dimension to our employees’ work experience and it supports our vision of making healthcare better, globally,” said Christian Hebich, CEO of the Arcondis Group.
