MD&M West looks at mHealth devices and data protection

Medical Design & Manufacturing ( MD&M ) West will take place on February 9-11, 2016 at the Anaheim Convention Center in California

MD&M West will include two distinct tracks dedicated to trends in medical product development and manufacturing.

According to SMS Research the global mHealth market is projected to account for nearly £8.6bn ($13bn) in 2015 alone and on February 10 MD&M West's full-day conference track, 360 degrees of mobile health success, will address the success of connected and wearable devices, including real-world case studies.

There will also be a discussion panel at MD&M West on Working around the user, technical, financial, and regulatory barriers for connected health, which will explore how contextualisation and curation of data improves device adoption.

Panelists will address privacy concerns in the mobile marketplace as well as how to harness the power of mobile connectivity to improve population health and patient outcomes – all while controlling costs.
