PA helps Biocomposites with sterile packaging

UK Manufacturer of tray sealing solution Packaging Automation has worked together with calcium compound device manufacturer, Biocomposities to test packaging solutions.

Biocomposites manufacture calcium compound devices to regenerate and repair bone and soft tissue. The nature of these products means that it’s vital that the seal band is 100% consistent to keep the product sterile.

Packaging Automation used its test kitchen to complete comprehensive sealing trials for Biocomposites’ products. The tests were conducted to assess and prove that the required packaging standard could be achieved for Biocomposites’ devices.  

The tests ensured that Biocomposites is now supplying consistently reliable sealed packs that assure that the product remains sterile up to the point of use.

Biocomposites chose to purchase a fully electric, semi-automatic eclipseR tray sealing machine.
