EIT Health’s network is made up of 150 organisations across business, research, education, government, and health service delivery, working together to address health challenges facing Europe through innovation and technology.

eg technology is a product design, engineering and development specialist based in Cambridge, UK, dedicated to creating the next generation of medical devices and consumer products. With a proven track record of delivering inspiring and marketable products across medtech, lab/biotech and other sectors.

By becoming a member of EIT Health, eg technology gains access to a diverse ecosystem of health innovators, a line of sight to emerging health technologies, and collaboration opportunities under Horizon Europe-supported projects. Through its participation in EIT Health initiatives, eg technology will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative health products and services that address pressing health challenges across Europe.

“eg technology has been a great supporter of EIT Health over the past few years, providing mentoring for start-ups, evaluating health innovation projects and most recently as a sponsor of the EIT Health Catapult programme. It is timely, as the UK rejoins the Horizon Europe programme, to celebrate that commitment by officially signing eg technology as a network partner of EIT Health’s Ireland-UK office,” said Graham Armitage, managing director at EIT Health Ireland-UK. “We look forward to working more closely with the eg technology team, which is well-positioned to actively engage in EIT Health’s pan-European network. Together we will further support high-potential health start-ups in Europe and contribute to the advancement of healthcare innovation and the delivery of better outcomes for patients in Europe.”

eg technology has sponsored EIT Health’s Catapult start-up pitching competition for the last three years. Catapult has supported 272 start-ups to date, with over 450 investors actively involved. Previous finalists from Ireland and the UK include Gasgon Medical, Luminate Medical, MediSieve, and SolasCure. This year eg technology sponsors the award for ‘the Most Innovative Product’ within the MedTech category, and offers a total of 10 days’ worth of engineering expertise, shared amongst the winning three applicants, that can be used to further develop their innovation.

Rouzet Agaiby, director at eg technology said: “Working on cutting-edge healthcare technology and partnering with EIT Health enables eg technology to play an active role in progressing the development of healthcare solutions that can better patient outcomes.”

Nine start-ups from across Europe have secured their places at the EIT Health Catapult 2023-2024 finals, including two UK based start-ups, CELEX Oncology (life science) and Digistain (healthtech).
