Cleaning solvent for medical device manufacturers to be showcased at MD&M West

Chemical products manufacturer AGC Chemicals Americas will feature its Amolea AT2 cleaning solvent at MD&M West.

The solvent aims to provide medical device manufacturers a safer, effective and environmentally friendly alternative to n-propyl bromide and trichloroethylene solvents.

Amolea AT2 has no ozone depletion potential, low global warming potential and is non-flammable, enabling manufacturers to more easily meet increasingly strict environmental regulations. Using Amolea AT2 is energy efficient because of its low latent heat of vaporisation. It is approved for use as a precision cleaner, defluxing agent, carrier solvent for silicone and fluorinated lubricants, and moisture displacement fluid.

Amolea AT2 is part of AGC's AsahiKlin AE-3000 series of fluorinated solvents, which were designed to replace halogenated solvents having unfavourable environmental properties.

MD&M West runs from 5-7 February at Anaheim Convention Center, California.
