You can still request anatomical models 24/7 from Axial3D

Roger Johnston, CEO of medical 3D printing firm Axial3D, has issued a statement regarding the company’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Johnston begins by explaining how the company are adapting to work during the crisis: “Over the course of the last week, our team has been working with our customers and partners to understand how our 3D print facilities and expertise can be of most value in the current crisis.

“We are currently evaluating and prototyping various 3D printed devices, parts and equipment that will be essential in tackling the COVID-19 outbreak.”

Some of the parts Axial3D are currently 3D printing includes COVID-19 test kits, swabs, masks and ventilators. However, Johnston is calling for help to increase supply: “In this context, I am reaching out to you, our network, to ask for your help.

“If you are aware of any COVID-19 related initiatives that require 3D printed parts, or you have access to 3D printers and are willing to support our efforts, please reach out.”

The company are currently working to maximum capacity to produce these vital parts, as well as working with precautions in place to ensure the health and wellbeing of all staff and customers.

Despite the current situation Johnston explains that 3D anatomical models can still be requested by Axial3D 24/7, as he understands that even during this pandemic critical surgical procedures must take place.

Johnston concludes: “Axial3D is committed to supporting you through these times and together we can help to show the true meaning of humanity.”
