West presents two new products at Pharmapack

Global manufacturer for injectable drug administration West Pharmaceutical Services has introduced two new products at Pharmapack Europe.

The company has presented its LyloSeal cap, an all-plastic, instant sealing solution for lyophilised drug products. The cap is designed to minimise the risks associated with lyophilisation processes, while still maintaining the necessary sealing requirements. It does this through safeguarding vacuum and headspace content through immediate vial closure in the chamber, buffering between the stopper and chamber shelves to prevent stoppers sticking to the shelf and reducing the risk of glass breakage due to a spring force design.

West has also presented its NovaGuard SA Pro safety system. The system is designed for to aid in the protection of healthcare professionals and patients who self-inject doctor-prescribed medications, and individuals who assists self-injecting patients, from accidental needlesticks. The system is pending 510(k) clearance in the United States.
