Organisations partner up to provide a solution for patient monitoring service

Together, Wipro and Device Authority are planning to deliver a joint solution for a multinational health care company who are launching a remote patient monitoring service.

Device Authority, a specialist in Identity and Access Management (IAM) for the Internet of Things (IoT) has announced its partnership with Wipro Limited, an information technology, consulting and business process services company.

The IoT has played a key role in the healthcare industry, particularly with smart medical devices which are becoming increasingly part of how specialised treatment is delivered to patients today. These devices help to make procedures more accessible and enable physicians to better monitor how patients respond.

KeyScaler is an example of a device that provides a hybrid security model for patient safety which includes real-time device authenticity validation and policy-driven device derived crypto for data privacy and compliance with HIPAA and GDPR.

Healthcare providers and organisations are increasingly offering flexible services to patients outside of hospitals and doctor surgeries. However, with these medical devices which connect and transmit data, an extra layer of security is required.

Darron Antill, CEO of Device Authority said: “Wipro’s global presence, deep understanding of medical/health care market and customers, and strong technical skillsets ensures that our strategic partnership can deliver secure, connected and compliant IoT solutions, as required by the client.

“We are delighted to be working closely with the Wipro team to help solve security requirements for another medical customer. This provides us with a platform to extend into additional medical opportunities with Wipro, as well as develop the breadth and depth of industries that require secure IoT solutions.”
