Thermoplastic and Silicone Elastomers Summits will return to Ohio

Smithers’ co-located Thermoplastic and Silicone Elastomers US Summits are returning to Cleveland, Ohio for a fourth year.

Smithers is a multinational provider of testing, consulting, information, market reports, compliance services and leading industry events. The organisation which was founded in 1925 has headquarters in Akron, Ohio, and laboratories and operations in North America, Europe and Asia.

Smithers’ ISO 17025 accredited facilities in the UK and USA ensure a comprehensive range of chemistry, physical testing and technical consulting services are available to support the development of polymer-based materials and end products.

The co-located summits allow attendees to easily network, gather business intelligence, and build long-lasting relationships across two different industries. Additionally, visitors will have full access to both summits and a choice between two tracks of specialised presentations.

The two-day programme consists of presentations by over 25 industry experts outlining topics currently impacting the industry such as key medial prospects, Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR), smart thermoplastics, material innovations and many more.

Networking breaks which are scheduled in to the programme include a networking lunch and a networking reception at the end of day one. These breaks provide opportunities for discussing key trends, solution discovery, and sharing ideas and innovations.

This event is suitable for representatives from the entire thermoplastic and silicone supply chains as it aims to enable attendees to stay on top of the industry by anticipating evolving end-use needs as new technologies emerge.

Previous attendees for this event include Bose, Ford, Teknor Apex, ExxonMobil, Osram, Wacker, Dow, Momentive, Lion Elastomers, Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Kraiburg, RDAbbott, Audia Elastomers, Coperion Compounding Systems, DuPont, Hexpol, Kuraray, Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, Star Thermoplastics, Trinseo, Davis-Standard, NuSystems, and Goodyear.

The summits will allow companies to increase its brand visibility in front of its target market, and therefore exhibiting or sponsoring this event provides companies with a key opportunity to showcase how they are improving operations and encouraging innovation. The summits are taking place this June from 23rd-24th, 2020.
