Tekni-Plex to display tubing solutions at MD&M West

Tekni-Plex Medical, a Tekni-Plex business, will be exhibiting a range of compounds and tubing solutions for medical device applications at MD&M West.

The Tekni-Plex Medical business unit was recently formed in an attempt to facilitate the supply of mission-critical, high-value components, materials, and solutions to medical device manufacturers worldwide. As a result, medical device companies will now have dedicated sales personnel that can assist them across all product lines to provide better and faster solutions.

Steve Penn, senior vice president, sales and marketing, and interim head of Tekni-Plex Medical commented: “Our products will be shown together for the first time under the Tekni-Plex Medical banner at MD&M West. We are excited to show medical device companies how our globally-integrated operations will enable us to provide better and faster compound and tubing solutions for their unique applications.”

Tekni-Plex Medical will be showcasing products from its three brands:

• Colorite
• Natvar
• Dunn

Colorite

The Colorite product line which includes polyvinyl chloride and thermoplastic elastomer medical-grade compounds has been engineered to deliver solutions that meet specific product objectives. Colorite is also able to formulate custom compounds to meet specific medical application requirements.

Natvar

Natvar’s medical-grade tubing can be used for a wide range of medical device applications including intravenous therapy, respiratory, renal/dialysis, anaesthesia, diagnostic and surgical equipment. This includes multilayer and multi-lumen tubing, as well as a range of value-added options including tapered, striped, thermally-coiled and special profile products.

Dunn

Dunn’s precision tubing is known for its high tolerances and small walls. These tubes are used for minimally invasive delivery systems for the cardiovascular, electrophysiology, neurovascular, gastrointestinal/endoscopy, structural heart and interventional radiology medical markets. Products include single and multi-lumen, coextruded, striped or braided tubing. The Dunn product line also produces acetal mandrels for manufacturing minimally invasive catheter shafts.  

Tekni-Plex Medical will be on booth 3019 at MD&M West which is taking place from 11^th to 13^th February in the Anaheim Convention Center.
