Sony showcases its “powerful visual solutions” at Medica

Sony Healthcare Solutions is demonstrating its 4K surgical imaging at Medica

The company is demonstrating its solutions from across the Sony portfolio including its 4K capabilities, its full HD and 3D surgical imaging technologies for both diagnosis and surgical use and its distribution and management of medical content.

Sony’s products on display are the MCC-500MD, a HD quality, single chip, surgical camera, a 4K over IP workflow endoscopy camera, 4K surgical monitors and the HMS-3000MT head mount display system for 3D endoscopies.

Christophe Gauthier, medical strategic marketing manager at Sony Professional Solutions Europe, said: “With innovative medical technology moving forward at a rapid pace, it’s an exciting time for the medical industry.

“Our product development reinforces Sony´s commitment to deliver powerful and impactful visual solutions to the world of medicine and become the medical solution partner of choice.”

The HVO-500MD surgical recorder will also be displayed at Medica as will Sony’s 4K content management systems with the ODS-D77U optical disk archive for long-term archive purpose.

Gauthier said: “At Sony, we’re constantly striving to produce creative solutions at the forefront of this market and we’re looking forward to showcasing our latest workflow demonstrations at MEDICA 2015.”

Sony is showcasing its products at Medica on stand H57 in hall 10.
