Scott Bader Speciality Polymers Appoints New Commercial Director

Scott Bader has recently appointed Alan Kennedy as its new Commercial Director for the Speciality Polymers division. This division develops and manufactures innovative water based and solvent borne standard and customised products for a wide range of applications in the paints, coatings, construction, textiles and graphic arts markets. The opportunity to move to Scott Bader came about due to an internal promotion of the former Speciality Polymers Commercial Director, John Kemp, who has moved to Dubai and is now CEO of Scott Bader Middle East and Africa.

Kennedy, a Chemistry graduate from St Andrews University in Scotland, joins Scott Bader with a wealth of strategic leadership experience in relevant end market sectors for Scott Bader. Previously with INVISTA Textiles, a division of Koch Industries, he was European Business Director for three years, having earlier spent 22 years with National Starch - Adhesives Division in a variety of executive roles, and then five years as Managing Director of St Regis Paper.
