Vincent is professor of intensive care at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the head of the department of intensive care, Erasme University Hospital (University of Brussels). He will work alongside other Sphere MAB members including Dr Tom Clutton-Brock, head of anaesthesia & intensive care at The University of Birmingham medical school and associate medical director at the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust.

Commenting on this appointment, Sphere medical’s chief executive officer, Wolfgang Rencken, said: “Professor Vincent’s appointment to the medical advisory board is strong validation of the potential of Proxima, our patient-attached arterial blood gas analyser. His significant experience in the critical care setting makes him an invaluable addition to the team at this pivotal time as we plan for the launch of Proxima later this year.”

Professor Vincent added: “Proxima has the potential to bring about a paradigm shift in the intensive and critical care setting. I look forward to working closely with the MAB and contributing to Proxima’s future success following its commercial launch in the near future.”
