Plastic sheet manufacturer announces Utah facility plans

Goex Corporation announces plans for the addition of a new manufacturing facility in Cedar City, Utah in response to the demand for quality extruded plastic sheet products.

This expansion will join West’s regional transportation network and aim to create a better service for customers in Western areas of the United States.

Initial construction plans are currently underway, and this details a 120,000 sqaure feet facility which will employ up to 140 people.

Joshua Gray, president and CEO of Goex said: “Our new Cedar City, Utah location supports Goex’s ongoing commitment to ensure timely delivery of extruded sheet products.

“Just as continued growth prompted the need for additional space in Janesville, Utah will now help us to better serve our customers in the Western areas of the country.”

The headquarters for Goex are located in Janesville, Wisconsin and operate over 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The 235,000 square feet Janesville facility was completed in 2015, and currently employs 200 people. Product development, research and development and corporate offices will remain in Janesville regardless of this announcement.

This addition of an extrusion facility in Utah hopes to increase capacity, enable short lead times, and as a result reach more customers. Additionally, the Cedar City facility will be environmentally controlled and operationally certified to current standards for ISO 9001 and FSSC22000 like the Janesville facility.

Dan Stewart, economic development director for Cedar City, Utah states, “Goex is an ideal fit for Cedar City, as demonstrated by the extremely successful plastics manufacturing that is thriving here. Goex is an outstanding company. It is extremely well run, and their culture will be a perfect fit here.”

Gray concludes “We are eager to witness firsthand the great things we have been told about the workforce in SW Utah.”
