Nemera acquires Chicago based design and innovation consultancy firm

Drug delivery manufacturer, Nemera’s acquisition of the Chicago based design and innovation consultancy firm, Insight Product Development, will aim to improve the company’s proximity to customers within North America.

Insight delivers innovation across the full development life cycle for both medical and drug delivery devices – skills which Nemera believe will complement its design centre in La Verpillière, France.

Together the organisations plan to combine their skillsets. Insight brings experience in front-end innovation, design research, human factors and design engineering, whereas Nemera provides knowledge on late-stage development and clinical and manufacturing capabilities. Therefore, Nemera will now be able offer its customers around the world complete end-to-end development services.

As a result of this acquisition, Insight will become part of the newly branded Nemera’s ‘Insight Innovation Centre’, with offices in La Verpillière, France and Chicago, Illinois. The Insight Innovation Centre will consist of a multi-disciplinary team made up of 150 members.
