Microsensor manufacturer displays inhaler and liquid sensor devices at Compamed
A manufacturer of digital microsensors and systems is exhibiting its device for smart inhalers and a liquid sensor for drug delivery at Compamed.
Sensirion is showing a differential pressure sensor for smart inhalers called the SDP3x sensor. The company claims it is ideal for the measurement of mass flow in a bypass configuration and is available in four different versions.
Also featured is its LD20 series which measures liquid flow rate, meaning drug delivery can be measured in real time, with the sensor able to measure flow rates from 1ml/h to 1000 ml/h, and can detect failure modes such as occlusion, free flow or air bubbles.
This will be shown alongside its Mass Flow Meter SFM3400, a proximal flow sensor for neonatal and paediatric OEM applications in respiratory devices such as ventilation or anaesthesia. The device is available as a single-use version or a reusable device. The device measure bidirectional floe rates up to 33slm and is fully calibrated for air, N2 and O2 gases.
