Medilink Ascend announces new innovation course

by

Specialist business consultancy service Medilink, has announced a new two day Ascend course designed to build understanding of innovation pitfalls.

The course, scheduled to take place on July 2 and 3 will be held at the Nowgen Centre Boardroom in Manchester.

The health technologies and related life sciences market is extremely competitive, and independent research has shown organisations are poor at identifying new product opportunities, with 90 per cent of product launches ending in failure.

Therefore, the new course has been designed to build understanding of the innovation pitfalls and equip attendees with tools utilised by leading global companies to accelerate the successful commercialisation of new product ideas and support individual career development.

The course will also cover portfolio planning, why innovation is critical to business growth and what is causing the failure of innovation among companies in the UK.

Attendees are expected to be able to finish the course with the ability to create innovative culture in their workplace and identify unmet customer needs in order to translate these into concept design and selection.

The course is aimed at professionals in product development, research and innovation, senior executives whose role harnesses innovation and business development professionals seeking to increase their skills.

Also invited to attend are communications staff looking to further develop their knowledge and academics and NHS professionals who are interested in innovation and developing new products and services.
