Medical Plastics Conference returns to Chinaplas

The Medical Plastics Conference is set to return to Chinaplas this year for its third edition.

Chinaplas 2017, which will be held on May 16-19 2017 in Guangzhou, is set to host a range of new technologies focusing on intelligent manufacturing, high-tech materials and green solutions.

The Medical Plastics Conference will take place on 17 & 18 May. Visitors from medical device, disposable manufacturers, medical and pharmaceutical packaging will be able to meet experts from around the world who will discuss advancing technologies and practical solutions.

The conference will be host to a range of practical medical plastic products and solutions and cover topics such as new materials, manufacturing solutions, best practices of end-user enterprises and more.

Among the special guests include KraussMaffei, which will talk about special cleanroom requirement for injection moulding machines; Tianjin Plastics Research Institute which will dig into breakthrough technologies of Bioplastics and Arburg which will provide information on applications in the medical industry.

Product design and development firm Czuba Enterprises will talk about implantable device development - from product design, material selection to production. Len Czuba, president of Czuba Enterprise said: "As the modern society expands the reach of its benefits to the most remote parts of our populated world, medical devices must be able to support healthcare delivery within the limitations of local infrastructures.  Designing ‘intelligent’ medical devices can significantly improve the product development lead time and reduce costs. For example, specialty implantable device that was designed by polymer chemists, plastics engineers and genetic bio-scientists is used as a virtual internal organ replacement, and is sometimes called an ‘artificial organ’.”
