Medical Murray expands clean room capabilities

Device and development and contract manufacturing company Medical Murray has expanded its clean room capabilities at their Illinois facility and North Carolina location.

The additions come less than a year after the company purchased both the Lake Zurich manufacturing facility and built a larger facility in Charlotte, N.C.

The new Lake Zurich clean room space is an extension of Medical Murray’s current capabilities focusing on general assembly and inspection of class II and III medical devices. The clean room space incorporates space for moulding, pad printing, laser welding, braiding and packaging.

Paul Imaoka, vice president of operations said: “We are excited about the new clean room and look forward to adding more employees and work spaces due to the tremendous amount of transfers from development that are currently taking place. We also expect to add more automation including molding and braiding machines as our business continues to grow.”

The N.C facility has also been expanded to include clean room services for mid-level manufacturing.

“It’s great to offer additional services to enhance our customer experience and continue to provide very close collaboration,” mentioned Chris Steadham, general manager. “Focusing on innovative ideas and solutions for our clients has always been our mission, and we are excited about what the future holds.”
