Médi’Nov 2021 goes virtual

To ensure the continuity of Médi’Nov in 2021 against during the global pandemic and uncertainty surrounding the practicalities of planning a physical event, First Connection, organiser of Médi’Nov, has decided to set up a new digital edition that will take place 19–21 May 2021.

For this new online edition, 800 attendees are expected. This new digital format will allow international players to join the online program more easily. This year, the event will take place for 3 days and not 2, as is usually the case with a physical edition.

This year, the event will approach six main topics divided into six half-days:

For each topic, roundtables will start the half day and then followed by conferences.

Organised each year by Lyonbiopole, historic partner of Médi’Nov, and occurring within the congress, the Innovation Pitches will again this year honour eight start-ups, which will compete to win the 2021 innovation trophy. This year, the innovation pitches will take place 20 May in the late morning. After each presentation, the audience will instantly be able to vote online. The winner will then be awarded in the early afternoon, after the jury’s deliberation.

Alongside the congress, First Connection will continue emphasising networking by offering online meetings thanks to a new and effective platform. It will allow a hundred exhibitors and about 600 visitors to exchange interactively according to their common fields of interests. The digital format will also enable exhibitors to promote their innovations through pictures, photos, videos and workshops.

As happens every year, several offers and technologies will be highlighted including materials & plastic processing, precision mechanics, additive manufacturing & 3D printing, connected devices, electronics, optics and consulting for services in terms of testing, regulation and clinical evaluation.

The event organisers have already begun to plan the next edition of Médi’Nov, which is scheduled for March 2022 in Lyon, hopefully as a physical event.
