Manufacturer relocates to Shrewsbury, MA

On Line Controls has announced its relocation to Shrewsbury, MA from Hudson, MA.

The relocation brings a multitude of benefits including a larger production area, more storage space, and a shorter commute for all employees.

The company is best-known for manufacturing the “MicroAir” line of ultra-low air pressure regulators and controllers for plastic tubing manufacturers.

New tighter tolerances of the machined parts have made the MicroAir much more precise and stable at the lower pressure ranges. The “MicroAir” ultra-low air pressure regulators and controllers are the industry standard for controlling the internal air pressure to maintain the inside diameter and wall thickness during tubing extrusion.

During the free extrusion process, the technology can maintain the tubing’s shape, size, ovality, prevent a collapse of the tube and achieve the correct diameter, holding the set point even when a cut is made or being spooled.

Customers are now able to reportedly run units below 1” of water with greater precision, using a range of 0 – 3” of water. Additionally, a new optional stand has been introduced, so MicroAir can be moved between tubing extrusion lines as needed.

As an essential business, On Line Controls are still operating during the coronavirus pandemic by helping customers make critical medical tubing for the healthcare industry.
