Eastman and ColorFabb filament included in 3D printer shipments

In an industry first, shipments of Aleph Objects’ 3D printers will include samples of nGen, a collaborative filament from Eastman Chemical Company and ColorFabb

The samples of nGen filaments will be included in shipments of Aleph Objects’ newly released LulzBot TAZ 6 printer so that users can immediately experience the printer’s capabilities, according to Eastman.

Ruud Rouleaux, managing director, ColorFabb, said: “This collaboration from Aleph Objects, ColorFabb and Eastman is an industry first. By working together, we’re providing all the right elements to support 3D printing customers and their use of the LulzBot TAZ 6 by running it with nGen filament.”

Aleph Objects’ newest addition to its TAZ line of printers, the LulzBot TAZ 6 desktop 3D printer, features self-leveling, self-cleaning, an integrated power supply, dozens of build materials, hundreds of print profiles, three compatible tool head accessory upgrades and a PEI print surface, according to Eastman.

Every LulzBot TAZ 6 shipment will come with 8 meters (26.25 feet) of LulzBot green nGen. The filament, made with Eastman Amphora AM3300 3D polymer, is a tough low-odor and styrene-free offering that is suitable for most day-to-day 3D printing activities.
