Eakin Surgical return to Arab Health 2023

Cardiff-based Eakin Surgical – a UK single-use surgical instruments manufacturer – will be returning to Arab Health 2023.

Head of sales, Alana Rodgers, will be based on the Eakin stand H30 (Hall 2) throughout all 4 days of the event to offer customers support in product training, after sales support and objective handling.

Joining the Welsh Government trade mission, the company will be showcasing how their range of high-quality, sustainable single-use surgical solutions can be used in operating rooms worldwide to address modern healthcare challenges.

Last year, Eakin Surgical announced its expansion into the Middle East marketplace as it aims to significantly grow international sales, after securing a contract in the region with the help of the Welsh Government.

The company has appointed a new distributor in the region after attending the Arab Health exhibition in 2022. The deal will see Eakin Surgical’s products sold across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar.

International sales account for a third of Eakin Surgical’s business, but the company is aiming to triple its export figures over the next five years by entering these new target markets. It currently exports its products to 28 countries across Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

Eakin Surgical is using the international exhibition as a platform to grow its export markets.

Rodgers, said: “Our presence at Arab Health is to leverage our recent investments in our international marketing and sales teams; to reinforce our relationships with current distributors, and to forge new partnerships in markets where we are not yet active. We have made great connections and partnerships which were initiated from Arab Health in the past, and we look forward to strengthening those connections and building new relationships with distributors from the region and beyond.”

Eakin Surgical (formerly Single Use Surgical) was founded twenty years ago in response to the challenges faced cleaning surgical instruments. Hospitals identified that difficulty cleaning surgical fine lumen suction tubes meant a high risk of patient-to-patient cross-infection.

The company’s mission is to enable safer operations and improved patient outcomes through the provision of high-quality surgical solutions. As such, they continue to work closely with healthcare professionals to identify where products can be improved and bring to market solutions that offer surgical teams the reliable, practical and flexible tools that they rely on.

Arab Health is taking place from 30 January – 2 February 2023 in Dubai, and throughout the show, Eakin Surgical will be located on the UK Pavilion - Hall 2 Stand H30.
