Clariant to Showcase Full Portfolio of Controlled Atmosphere Packaging Solutions at InnoPack 2013

Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, represented by its Masterbatches Business Unit with business segments Healthcare Packaging and Masterbatches for medical applications, will exhibit and present at InnoPack 2013, a co-event at CPhI in Frankfurt, Germany, held October 22-24, 2013. At booth 41F39, Healthcare Packaging will display its extensive portfolio of controlled atmosphere packaging solutions, including its active, dust-free Advanced Desiccant Polymer (ADP) technology, which delivers exceptional adsorbent capabilities that are integrated directly into thermoplastics used in packaging and devices. Other solutions in the portfolio range from drop-in desiccants to container closure systems, which help protect pharmaceuticals from damaging moisture and oxygen.

Valère Logel, head of development for Healthcare Packaging, will give a conference presentation entitled Smart moisture protection for healthcare products with Clariant's active polymer, ADP on Wednesday, October 23 at 11:00 am. He will explain how this technology can support new packaging designs and increase processing efficiencies while delivering superior moisture adsorption capability.

Clariant Healthcare Packaging is a global leader in the design and manufacture of controlled atmosphere packaging solutions. Its desiccant canisters designed for high-speed insertion are an innovative solution for pharmaceutical packaging. The company will also exhibit Continu-Strip hole-punch desiccant packets, which enable accurate automatic cutting and insertion into pharmaceutical containers with any standard packet insertion equipment currently on the market. Healthcare Packaging will also highlight fully protective container-closure systems such as its Integrated Desiccant Closure (IDC), Oxy-Guard barrier bottles and tubes with desiccant stoppers.

ADP, Continu-Strip, IDC and Oxy-Guard are registered trade marks.
