At Asia's largest plastics trade show, Chinaplas, held in Guangzhou on May 20-23, German injection moulding machine maker KraussMaffei and Taiwan-based plastic drug delivery device maker Scandinavian Health Ltd (SHL) Group substantiated a long-term partnership.

During the trade show KraussMaffei produced demonstrated a CX 200-750.

SHL Group bought the exhibit and an additional ten CX machines for their plants in Taiwan, where now more than 130 KraussMaffei machines are producing medical devices.

“With the CX series of machines, we have further enhanced reliability and continue to consistently produce high-quality components for the medical and healtcare industry worldwide”, emphasised Roger Samuelsson, CEO of SHL Group.

SHL is said to be one of the world’s largest privately-owned designer, developer and manufacturer of advanced drug delivery devices—such as auto injectors, pen injectors and inhalers. KraussMaffei says that when manufacturing these systems the quality of all components must be absolutely identical. Thus, verifiable compliance with the most stringent quality standards must be guaranteed when running production 24/7.

“Our goal is zero error tolerance, a goal that our partners must share with us. KraussMaffei is a preferred while excellent partner for us”, Samuelsson stated.

“We appreciate the new order of SHL Group very much”, said Michael Müller, vice president injection moulding sales of KraussMaffei Group's affiliate in China. “Our goal is to achieve the highest possible customer satisfaction and an example of our success in achieving such a goal is our longstanding partnership with SHL Group”.
