Injection moulding key, says Protek

Injection moulder Protek Medical has stressed the importance of injection moulding expertise in medical projects.

The company recently attended the All-Ireland New Technology Forum and SPE Polymers conference. Two events were held - the first at Athlone Institute of Technology on March 4, 2014, the second at the Waterford Institute of Technology.

Eamon O’Connell (pictured) is ProTek Medical director of design & business development said: “For us at ProTek Medical the key message to communicate at such events is that injection moulding expertise needs to be involved at all stages of medical and healthcare projects.

“This includes matters of design; feasibility; tooling; trials and development; validations and verifications all the way up to full production. At ProTek Medical we pride ourselves on our world-class expertise in these issues; therefore able to offer our clients the best in medical moulding service, quality and solutions.”

ProTek Medical is a full service design and manufacturing partner to global medical and healthcare industries. Founded in 1995 the company has grown to become one of Europe’s leading medical injection moulders.

O’Connell says that the SPE All Ireland polymer events validate the need for the industry to meet and communicate with itself.

“Events such as these are essential for the industry – in order to be able to network together and share its aims and ambitions, best practices and technology needs. At ProTek Medical we are already looking forward to the next such opportunity,” said O’ Connell.
