IMI Precision Engineering exhibits new products during Compamed
Motion and fluid control technologies specialist, IMI Precision Engineering, explains what the company is exhibiting at Medica 2019.
IMI Precision Engineering is displaying products such as miniature solenoid valves, rotary valves, pinch valves, syringe pumps, and sub-assemblies all custom-designed to meet the performance requirements of medical device and diagnostic instrumentation applications.
Fabrizio Maspero, product marketing manager at IMI Precision Engineering, commented ahead of the event: “As a long-standing manufacturer within the medical device industry, we are committed to developing new products which meet the challenging, and bespoke requirements of the sector. We’re delighted to be launching several products at this year’s Medica trade fair.
“Throughout the show, our team of fluidic experts will also be on hand to share their knowledge on IMI FAS and IMI Norgren product ranges and how to solve technical issues with affordable solutions.”
A summary of some of the products being exhibited during Medica is below.
IMI FAS CHIPREG
The company’s first miniature Mass Flow Controller (MFC), IMI FAS CHIPREG, is being shown for the first time at the event. This product is designed to precisely control both lower flow rates (0 to 0.5 sl/min) and higher flow rates (0 to 10sl/min).
IMI FAS CHIPREG was manufactured under ISO 13485, and can be integrated into medical devices such as ventilation gas blenders or plasma surgery devices. The product is based on IMI FAS’ 8 mm CHIPPROP, a small proportional valve which is already on the market.
Cadent 6 syringe pump
The Cadent 6 syringe pump claims to be reliable and versatile. The pump can be incorporated into a range of life science applications which require accuracy in low or high-flow configurations, high-force and long-life performance. The syringe pump is ideal for situations where flow control is critical.
IP4000
This product was designed by IMI Precision Engineering in order to meet customer’s requirements for positive displacement inline pumps. The company believes by simplifying the product offering and design as well as sourcing, manufacturing and assembling locally in India, the IP4000 offers a competitive product with competitive delivery lead times for customers.
IMI FAS Microsol MS-E
IMI FAS Microsol MS-E, a media separated valve for aggressive and sensitive media will be launched at this year’s Medica. This device has been designed in an attempt to fulfil customer’s technical expectations and cost requirements within medical device and diagnostic applications.
IMI Norgren Acro Pinch Valves, including the Versagrip solenoid pinch valves
The new 200-series IMI Norgren Acro Pinch valves offer maximum flexibility, performance and value in life science applications where heat generation needs to be avoided. The device is best suited for disposable sterile tubing or membrane bags which are used throughout medical devices.
IMI Precision Engineering are in hall 8a, stand P19 during Compamed which is taking place from 18th to 21st November in Düsseldorf.
