Humanscale Healthcare launches workflow delivery solution

Leader in next-generation point-of-care solutions, Humanscale Healthcare, has launched a delivery solution to help reduce human errors through workflow solutions.

MedLink has been designed as a delivery solution that streamlines nursing workflows and aids bedside medication administration to reduce errors and improve outcomes. The system supports a variety of workflows and will benefit pharmacy efficiency and compliance. In addition, it helps minimise interruptions and eases the pressure of mentally and manually tracking medication administration information.

MedLink will be showcased at Medica on 14-17 November.

Heather Fennimore, global healthcare president said: “Medical errors affect 1 in 4 patients in Europe and ranks as the third leading cause of death in the U.S., right after heart disease and cancer, so Humanscale Healthcare spent several years researching how to solve some of the complexities of medication administration. Specifically, our team of expert ergonomists and to designers sought design a product that reduced medication administration challenges, yet was comfortable and user-friendly. MedLink’s human-centred design achieves both of these goals.”

MedLink features systems to help eliminate medication and human errors such as secure, closed-loop medication control, electronic drawer labelling, bar code scanning and more.
