GSPK ready for medical device market

North Yorkshire-based electronic design firm, GSPK Design, has secured ISO quality accreditation, to help support the design and manufacturing of electronic devices for the medical device market.

The company has previously been funded through the Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) for its work on a new EMG (electromyography) switch. The company’s wearable device, Emego, assists those with severe disabilities in using equipment that they use on a daily basis.

GSPK Design are currently collaborating with Barnsley Hospital, Sheffield Teaching Hospital and the NIHR Devices for Dignity Healthcare Technology Co-operative (D4D), the project marks a point of growth for the electronics design and manufacturing company.
