Foster to present technical papers at NPE 2018

^{Polymer solutions company, Foster Corporation, will be discussing a range of its technologies at the NPE 2018 Show in Orlando, Florida.}

Held 7-11 May, Foster Corporation’s thermoplastic compound development chemist Timothy Largier will present two technical papers at the show.

The first presentation will be focused on the company’s PureEase processing additive and Foster’s Combat antimicrobial concentrate that can be used in bi-layer extrusion to produce low-cost antimicrobial catheters.

The second presentation will focus on how engineering compatibilised alloys of medical polyamides is an effective method for increasing catheter strength without compromising robustness or translucency.

At the show’s Materials and Processing for Medical Applications Session on 8 May, Largier will present his first paper “Antimicrobial Bi-Layer Catheters - Extrusion and Performance.

His second presentation “Nylon 12/PMMA/SAN Alloys for Translucent Medical Catheters” will be at the Morphology, Compatibilization and Performance of Polymer Blends Session on 9 May.
