Hygienic furniture range announced for the cleanroom market

Connect 2 Cleanrooms, a cleanrooms solutions provider, has in partnership with Sealwise developed a hygienic furniture range especially for the cleanroom market.

Sealwise waterproof construction board (WCB) is a unique sheet material with a foam core of closed cell unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) with outer skin of solid PVC. Both layers are chemical resistant and impervious to liquid, thus protecting against microbial contamination. Additionally, the WCB has a smooth surface which features Biomaster antibacterial technology in order to provide a permanent barrier that lasts for the lifetime of the product.

The range offers a smart and safe solution for cleanrooms through its bright, white finish and various colour coding options. This construction is extremely durable but lightweight, so it is simple and safe to reconfigure floorplan layouts to improve process flow as required.

As it was developed initially for the healthcare market, the furniture can be kept hygienically clean for the lifetime of the product, and joints are fully sealed leaving no places for contamination to build up.

The furniture is produced from recycled PVC from known, safe sources and as a result it is fully recyclable. The furniture therefore offers a sustainable choice as it is environmentally friendly both at purchase and the end of its life.

“Our collaboration with Sealwise has been exciting as their WCB has been specifically developed for areas where the threat of contamination is continuous. Together we have produced a range of tables, step over benches, lockers and storage solutions that cleanroom users need. The durability of these products will mean they offer a cost-effective solution, offering value for money and reducing risk in cleanrooms,” says Sam Armer, product and process development manager at Connect 2 Cleanrooms.

Ben Griffiths, national sales director at Sealwise adds, “Connect 2 Cleanrooms’ exceptional understanding of customer needs and wealth of experience make them the ideal fit for us as a partner in the cleanroom market. We’re excited to focus our combined efforts in providing a range of innovative furniture solutions that are unique to what their customer base will have seen in the past.”
