Six months ago, technical sales representative, Dave Augello, received word from a major resin manufacturer that lead times for raw material could soon be getting pushed out. That is when they decided to put a plan in place and prepare for further disruption.

“The investments paid off and we are in a very strong position to supply our existing and even new customers,” said Augello.

The molder has also been able to work with its internal partner division, Ensinger Compounds, to shore up supply.

The focus of Ensinger Precision Components is processing high performance materials such as PEEK, Ultem, Torlon and PPSU. Applications for these materials are typically found in molded parts where the highest chemical resistance, temperatures and sterilization methods are needed for the final product.
